It might prevent pain, burning, itching, tingling, and numbness in arms and legs from nerve damage with free radicals. Due to this, ALA may improve the function of peripheral nerves, eliminate sensory impairments: dysesthesia, paresthesia, pain, burning sensation, numbness or “pins and needles”. Cytidine-5-monophosphate (CMP) and Uridine 5′-triphosphate trisodium (UTP) are Nucleotides activating P2Y receptors on neurons to enhance synaptogenesis and are biologic compounds which are necessary for regeneration of the myelin sheath of nerves. CMP and UTP activate P2Y receptors – G-protein coupled receptors which are involved in a wide variety of processes, including platelet aggregation, vasodilation, neuromodulation, ion flux, differentiation and synaptic communication. CMP and UTP are involved in the synthesis of phospholipids and glycolipids, which mainly consists myelin sheath nerve and other structures. It promotes intensive metabolic activity, which in turn promotes the regeneration process of myelin sheath adjusting demyelination in the peripheral nerve damage. In studies combination of CMP and UTP also demonstrated capability to provide neuroprotective effects on cell toxicity induced by glutamate excitotoxicity or by 1-methyl-4-phenyl-pyridinium (MPP+), an in vitro cell model of Parkinson’s disease. Thus, by mechanism of action the combination of CMF and UTP promotes regeneration of the myelin sheath, the right functioning of nerve system, the recovery of muscle trophism, and prevents the death of neurons in conditions of cerebrovascular ischemia. Meclofenoxate or Centrophenoxine is a compound made from one naturally occurring substance- dimethylaminoethanol (DMAE) -and one synthetic, which is parachlorophenoxyacetate (pCPA). According to research data it is supposed that Meclofenoxate has two ways of action: 1) it’s a precursor to the neurotransmitter acetylcholine and may increase levels of it in the brain, and 2) it removes lipofuscin deposits (fine yellow-brown pigment granules composed of lipid-containing residues of lysosomal digestion) in the brain and skin. Lipofuscin in the brain is suspected to be behind the “plaques” that are observed in brain tissue samples taken from Alzheimer’s patients. The theory for Alzheimer disease is that the lipofuscin clogs ion channels on the surface of nerve cells, preventing the movement of potassium through these channels and degrading memory and cognition in the process. Magnesium L-Threonate (MgT) is a new form of the basic element magnesium, the nutrient that was developed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a dietary supplement to boost various cognitive functions.
