HEALTH BENEFITS OF USE
SELEKAD is recommended as a health supplement to the diet for the normalization of the secretion of bile and biliary tract motility, stimulates metabolism in hepatocytes and promotes regeneration, improves liver function indicators; for improving the functional state of the hepatobiliary system in biliary dyskinesia, cholecystitis, and after removal of the gallbladder; for increasing the bile flow for the relief of symptoms of such as sensation of fullness, flatulence and slow digestion. Fumaria officinalis extract contains alkaloids fumaryn which normalizes bile secretion in liver, lowers the tone of the sphincter of Oddi, supporting normal digestion via bile and pancreatic juice penetration into intestine. Fruit extract of milk thistle contains silymarin – bioflavonoid, which may help to protect membrane and restore the liver cells providing hepatoprotective effect in acute and chronic toxic load on the liver. Artichoke contains Cynarine, a substance, which in combination with phenolic acids increases bile secretion, the bile volume, excretion of bile salts, and prevents stagnation of bile in the biliary tract, normalizes the secretion of pancreatic enzymes. Curcumin is an active ingredient of turmeric which increases bile secretion, provides anti-inflammatory effect, and reduces the saturation of bile with cholesterol. Selenium – is an important microelement playing important role in antioxidant protection, antiinflammatory protection, and immune status of humans. Selenium supplementation may improve the hepatic functionality in case of liver disorders. Amino acids ornithine and aspartate provide physiological detoxification of ammonia through the synthesis of urea and glutamine in liver cells. In this way L-ornithine and L-aspartate (LOLA) increases the generation of urea via the urea cycle metabolism, in which ammonia is turned into neutral substance – urea and removed out of the organism.
