HEALTH BENEFITS OF USE
TREATAPROST® is recommended as a health supplement to diet, which provides the reduction of inflammation symptoms of chronic and bacterial prostatitis such as pain and discomfort, urgent desire to pass urine, increased urination frequency. Epilobium parviflorum is a component that ocially approved in European Union for the relief of lower urinary tract symptoms related to benign prostatic hyperplasia due to its pronounced antioxidant, antibacterial, and analgesic eects. In laboratory tests Epilobium parviflorum extract demonstrated capability to inhibit aromatase, and 5-reductase – the compounds which impact the metabolism of hormones and contribute into the development of hyperplasia of prostatic stromal and epithelial cells. Extract Urticae radix provides anti-inflammatory eect, inhibits the activities of 5a-reductase and aromatase and because of this suppresses testosterone-stimulated increases in prostate volume. As result Urticae radix is eective in the symptomatic treatment of lower urinary tract disorders: nocturia, polyuria, urinary retention. Extract of Uva-Urs may act directly against most common pathogens (Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, Mycobacterium smegmatis, Shigella sonnei, Proteus mirabilis, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa). Avocado/soybean unsaponifiable is natural vegetable extract made from avocado and soybean oil. As health supplement, it demonstrated capability to reduce pain and amount of used non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) in people with inflammatory diseases. Quercetin is a polyphenolic bioflavonoid commonly found in plants. It has documented anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and inhibits inflammatory cytokines implicated in the pathogenesis of prostatitis. Finally, quercetin does have weak antibacterial and antifungal properties which might play a central role in prostatitis.
